Forty-five years ago – almost to this exact day – my father took out a 3 x 5 card and wrote “Job #1″ on the top left corner, thus officially opening Metalmite for business out of our home’s basement. To commemorate this event, I have attached a photo of him and two helpers at work in those early years. We are proud to announce that, using that same numbering system, we just wrote “Job #50,000!” We are honored that we have been able to serve so many for so many years! We have also attached a few pictures to show the transition of our equipment. We now offer a full line of over 30 CNC machining centers, consisting of 3,4,5, and 6 axis equipment. We have Wire EDM and CNC Grinding.We run PC DMIS on our CMM for maximum accuracy and reporting on our inspections. Our two 5 axis Mori Seiki mills are considered the strongest in the industry and we have seen many benefits from them over the last few years. Our sub-spindle multi-axis lathes have shown us that parts can go from bar to finished part in a matter of minutes on just one machining center – saving time and money for our customers. As our crew and shop floor space increased, so did the diversity of our clientele. We now serve the Aerospace, Automotive, Military, Medical, and Tooling industries. Our equipment has allowed us the flexibility to serve multiple industries with little or no adjustment period. We want to say “Thank you” for this opportunity, and on behalf of my late father, thank you for the last 45 years!
