I believe that most people who know me well know that I am a Michigan State fan (except when they play Notre Dame). But either way I do not own any Maize or Blue! So it was a difficult decision for me to answer the call when the University of Michigan asked for help with their Baja Team Car this year. We have a long history of helping the mechanical engineering departments for our local universities with senoir projects. We have helped Lawerance Tech, Oakland University, and others in the past. But the Good Book suggests that we learn to love our enemies, so I did the right thing and assisted our “friends” in Ann Arbor.
Using our 5 axis milling machine we will machine the steering yokes and other parts for the drive system on their car. These parts are 4140 steel hardened to 40 Rc.
