Plastic Connector

An Automotive customer that is working on an alternative energy vehicle requested a plastic connector to be made by Metalmite. The material was nylon 6/6 with 20% glass fill. They sent over a CAD file and requested that the part be made in two weeks or less. Metalmite reviewed the solid model and provided a quotation the same day. Upon receiving a purchase order, Metalmite acquired the material, used their Virtual Gibbs software to program their 6 axis Mori Seiki NL2000 machine, and made the full quantity of parts within 2 weeks. The ability to make the parts complete in one operation made Metalmite the best choice for price and delivery. After inspectingthe parts in the Sheffield CMM and finding them right within spec, they delivered parts to a very happy customer.
